These include research that:- Reports significant differences in the normal function of males and females
- Identifies differences in the pathophysiology of disease as a function of biological sex/gender
- Evaluates the efficacy of therapeutic interventions as a function of sex/gender
- Develops protocols that translate the results of gender-specific investigations into clinical practice
The journal also encourages submission of brief reports, commentaries, and letters to the editor that address timely or provocative issues in gender-specific medicine, including cardiology, endocrinology, oncology, dermatology, public and health policy, infectious disease, geriatrics and aging, gastroenterology, and neurology.
